The Historic Warner Home is one of the finest examples of Queen Anne Victorian style architecture in Ogden. The owners of this home asked Io to design a detached garage on the property of the home that would accommodate three cars and provide an accessory dwelling unit apartment. During an initial sketch plan consultation, Io looked at the city’s zoning and landmarks requirements, and provided some initial footprint and massing ideas that optimized the shape of the property while matching the massing, roofline, materials and colors of the main house. The refined design includes an L-shaped footprint, 12-foot-high garage level with 800-square-foot apartment above.
